Job Search and Placement Services

Workshops are available that teach job search skills, including -

• Creative Job Search,
• Resume preparation and correspondence,
• Interviewing Skills,
• Successful networking skills,
• Job lead development and how to discover those jobs not advertised,
• Job clubs and similar meetings with other job seekers to develop ane practice networking skills, hear presentations from employers, and other resources, find leads to job openings and discuss job search issues.

If you do not have a computer, the Resource Room at the Minnesota Workforce Center - Duluth, is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. 

Computers are available for your use to build a resume, look for a job, write cover letters, apply for jobs and using online tools for career exploration.  You can also apply for Unemployment Insurance if you recently lost your job. 

The Resource Room is staffed by 2 employees to assist you if you have questions.
